Sam (they/she) was born and raised in a suburb of Washington, DC. They received an MFA in writing from The Michener Center for Writers at University of Texas at Austin, where they served as associate fiction editor for Bat City Review. They are currently based in Baltimore, Maryland, where they teach screenwriting and live with two dogs and an army of house plants.
